What is a Beltane Ritual?
A Beltane ritual is anything you do to help you align and connect with this season’s spiritual intentions. It can be as simple as a wish whispered into the wind or buying yourself a bouquet of fresh flowers.
Beltane marks the halfway point between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. The Spring season is at its peak! The veil is thin, which makes it a good time to connect with Different Types of Fae and spiritual connections with the Otherworld.
Rituals during Beltane can involve wild and mischievous energy. Enjoy a bonfire ritual or make love beneath the moon! I highly recommend you play my Beltane ambience video and allow its magic and spiritual energy to flow into your home or sacred space!
Best Time to Perform a Beltane Ritual
You can perform a Beltane ritual any time you like in the Beltane season! A lot of witchcraft practitioners get hung up on celebrating rituals on the exact date of the holiday. Well, you can absolutely do that if you like!
However, I suggest celebrating Beltane as a whole season. Observe Nature around you right now. How can you align your intentions with the spiritual energy of the season?
What scents, colors, and sounds do you experience right now? What Moon phase are you currently in? Use this to inspire you!
Let your Beltane rituals develop and evolve differently every year. That’s part of the fun! Where are you at in life right now? Choose one of Beltane’s spiritual intentions and use it to inspire your ritual and celebration.

Beltane Fertility Bath Ritual
Fertility isn’t limited to physical reproduction. It can also be about bringing new ideas, projects, or dreams into existence. This ritual is perfect for those looking to birth new artistic activities, launch a business, step onto a new path, or have a baby!
Beltane’s spiritual energy supports growth and creation. It’s a wonderful time to set your intentions and watch them bloom!
Gather Your Supplies
- Dr. Teal’s Milk and Honey Epsom Salt Soaking Solution (for relaxation, nourishment, and purification)
- Dried Lavender Buds (creativity and peace)
- Cascarilla Powder (for protection and purification)
- Metal Tea Strainer (optional to put lavender buds in for easy cleanup)
- Music of your Choice (play something that makes you feel creative and happy)
Prepare Your Space
Begin by running a warm bath, and add the Dr. Teal’s Milk and Honey Epsom Salt. Then, place the lavender-filled tea strainer into the water.
Make sure your music is playing. Sprinkle in a bit of cascarilla powder to purify the bath and create a protective environment for your ritual.
Set Your Intention
Once your bath has been prepared, take a moment to sit quietly. Relax and visualize what you want to create. Feel this idea coming to life; isn’t it exciting?
Step into the bath and take a few deep breaths to help you relax. Allow the warm water to soothe you as you Center and Spiritually Ground Yourself.
Visualize and Manifest
Once you feel spiritually grounded, allow your chosen music to help you raise your energy and vibration. Let it set the mood for creativity and happiness. Allow its frequency to connect and match the creative flow you’re drawing into your life.
Focus on your creative vision, and imagine it growing and flourishing. Imagine how you would go about your day if this vision were true. Feel its energy and connect with it. This vision is already yours.
Complete the Ritual
When you’re done, slowly exit the bath and towel off. Close the ritual by thanking yourself for the creative energy you’ve awakened. You are very powerful! Your intention will grow more and more as you move forward in the Beltane season.
Beltane Flower and Herb Butter Board Recipe

A Beltane Candle Ritual to Release Your Wild Energy
I created this candle magic ritual to help you break free from wearing masks and personas that don’t match your truest self. Sometimes, we hide our wild energy behind these masks out of fear or doubt.
This Beltane candle ritual will burn away all those layers you’ve built up and give you confidence, courage, and strength. Release your wild soul into the universe, and allow your authentic self to thrive!
Gather Your Supplies
- Red Chime Candle (the color red boosts confidence, courage, and strength)
- Ground Thyme (for courage)
- Olive Oil (represents the fertility and potential of your ideas and spell potency)
- Ground Lemon Balm or Peppermint Essential Oil (for healing)
- Pinch of Nutmeg (for good luck)
- Matches or a Lighter
- A small bowl or dish
- Fire-safe candle holder
Begin The Ritual
Cleanse your sacred space in the method of your choice. Take a few deep breaths to center and ground yourself. Close your eyes and focus on your intention.
Think about the parts of yourself that you’ve been hiding or masking out of fear or insecurity. Visualize and imagine how you’ll feel as your most confident and authentic self.
Prepare Your Candle
Place the red chime candle in front of you. Carve any pagan symbols or sigils you’ve created into the candle now.
Anoint your candle with olive oil; use a small dish if needed. Visualize the olive oil opening a path for confidence and your willingness to be your authentic self. Do the same for each herb and its spiritual intention. If you need additional help with the step, watch my video How to Dress a Spell Candle.
Release Your Wild Energy
Raise your vibration, and then light the candle. Feel the strength of the flame igniting your inner confidence. As you grow stronger, you release the fears and masks you’ve been carrying.
As the flame burns, speak an affirmation or mantra into the flame. Imagine your wild, authentic energy rising and flowing into the universe each time you say it.
Here’s one of my favorite examples: No more fear, my truth is clear, Wild with glee, I let myself be free.
Let the Candle Burn Down
Allow the candle to burn down completely so all this energy is completely released. Recognize the shift you feel within yourself.
Your wild energy has been released! Repeat your affirmation or mantra any time you need that boost of wild energy.
Close the Ritual
When the ritual is complete, thank the elements, universe, or any deities you’ve called upon. Once everything is cooled, you can dispose of everything in the trash.
When you feel ready, celebrate your new confident self. Dance, sing, or do something that allows you to express your newfound freedom. Revel in the season of Beltane!
Beltane Flower Crowns
Creating your own flower crown is a fun way to personalize what you wear during Beltane. There are so many tutorials on Pinterest; you can make them unique to you and your style. Flower crowns are a fantastic way to get little ones involved in the festivities!
Flower crowns were often worn during the Roman festival of Floralia to honor the goddess Flora. Wearing a crown of flowers represents a connection with the earth and the beauty of the goddess.
As you create your crown, think about the intentions you want to integrate into it. How do you want to feel when you wear it? Maybe you want it to attract love or good luck. The choice is yours; use your intention to inspire the look of your flower crown.
A representation of Flora’s head distinguished only by a floral crown, appeared on coins of the republic. Her name survives in the botanical term for vegetation of a particular environment.

Beltane Sex Ritual for Couples
This Beltane ritual helps couples connect emotionally and spiritually. It uses intimacy as a way to manifest both of your shared goals and dreams. This ritual is about love, trust, and the magic of being present with each other.
This ritual requires some prep work by creating your own massage oil and allowing it to infuse for 4 – 6 weeks before this ritual. If you ran out of time or simply don’t want to create your own, here are two options to try:
- Majestic Pure Arnica Lavender and Chamomile Oil (I’ve tried this warming oil. I love the way it feels, but the menthol scent overpowers everything else, so heads up).
- Lavender Massage Oil (I want to try this one next; I love the smell of lavender)
This ritual will help you and your partner(s) strengthen your bond and set powerful intentions for your future together! Love in all forms is sacred, and this ritual is inclusive of all partnerships built on trust and mutual respect.
Gather Your Supplies
Feel free to use ingredients from your garden or local grocery store if you have access. If not, I attached links if you need help finding the supplies elsewhere.
- Manifestation Ritual Oil
- 16 fl oz Sweet Almond Oil (financial prosperity)
- Dried Lavender Buds (peace and protection)
- A dash of Dried Rose Petals (love and passion)
- Two good-sized handfuls of Dried Orange Peels (creativity and happiness)
- 20 drops of Orange Essential Oil (optional, for a stronger citrus scent)
- A small glass bottle or jar with a lid to store the oil
- Cheesecloth or a Fine Sieve
- Music of choice (something relaxing and meaningful to you)
- Dim lighting or candlelight
- Journal or paper and pen (optional: to write down shared dreams)
Making the Manifestation Ritual Oil
In a clean, dry jar, add dried lavender, rose petals, and orange peels. Add the 20 drops of orange essential oil at this time. Pour the almond oil over the herbs until they’re fully submerged.
Close the jar and give it a gentle swirl to mix the ingredients and help with infusion. Let it sit in a dark and dry location (I normally put it in my pantry or kitchen cupboard) for 4 – 6 weeks to fully infuse.
Once it’s done infusing, strain the oil using the cheesecloth or fine sieve to remove all the herbs. Pour into a small glass bottle and store in a dark place until ready to use.
Prepare the Space and Begin Massage
Begin by creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Light a candle(s), play music, lower the lights, and make sure you won’t be disturbed.
Take a few deep breaths together to center and ground yourselves in this moment. Pour a small amount of ritual oil into your hands and rub them together slightly to warm up the oil.
Begin massaging your partner(s). Tell them what you love about them most, their best qualities, and how much you appreciate them. Focus on the infused intentions of the ritual oil (love, passion, creativity, happiness, peace, protection, and financial prosperity).
Switch roles so both partners have a turn giving and receiving.
Sharing Manifestation Dreams
Once you’re both relaxed, take turns sharing your dreams and goals you’d like to manifest. Discuss ways you can support each other in making these dreams a reality. Remember, you’re a team!
Then, take each of your ideas and figure out how you can create a shared intention together. This will be your final manifestation goal.
At the peak of your shared experience, focus all of your mental energy on your manifestation dream or goal. Feel it coming to life in this moment. This technique is called the O-Method, and the “released” energy is directed toward your manifestation spell.
Closing the Ritual
Hold each other close and take a moment of silence to let the energy settle. If you like, write down your shared dreams in your journal or grimoire to reflect on later.
This ritual is a reminder that love, intimacy, and shared intentions have the power to shape the future. May your Beltane dreams take root and bloom beautifully.
Beltane Blessings Fire Ritual
Take a peaceful walk through a local park or along a riverbank or lake, and collect small stones that resonate with you. Use a sharpie, marker, paint, etc, to inscribe them with words of affirmation, blessings, or personal spiritual intentions.
Place the stones near the embers of your Beltane bonfire. This allows the rocks to absorb Beltane’s fire energy and spiritual intentions.
Once the fire is put out and the stones have cooled, use them however you like! Place them on your altar, on your work desk, in your pocket, or in your car! The options are endless! Their spiritual energy will continue to work for you long after the flames have faded.
