Let’s be honest for a moment, shall we? Learning how to raise your vibration can be controversial because many witches feel like the conversation is dominated by a bunch of love and light BS. That’s not what I’ll be talking about in this article. Okay, maybe a little because there are some valid points.

Most occult practitioners enter a spiritual state of consciousness before performing a spell or ritual. Their approach is as unique as every witch! You must raise your vibration to align and manifest powerful energy.

What are Vibrations in Witchcraft?

Vibrations in Witchcraft are the waves of energy flowing through and influencing the Universe. It moves through you, the moon, earth, crystals, colors, plants, animals – EVERYTHING! This vibrational energy is what powers your spells.

When I say raising your vibration, I mean aligning yourself with this natural energy to bring your consciousness and spiritual energy to a higher vibrational frequency.

Once you become aligned, your intentions become the driving force behind your magic. Your spells and rituals will be much more powerful when you practice witchcraft at this higher level!

How to Raise Your Vibration Daily For Manifesting

You don’t need to maintain a high vibration every day. Trust me, it’s basically impossible. If anyone tells you otherwise, you should reconsider listening to their advice because it’s a very unhealthy mindset. It’s natural to feel sad or low sometimes.

However, the more you do your best to care for yourself every day, the easier it is to cast effective spells when the time comes. Here are some daily habits to keep your vibrations and mental state raised:

Journal Prompt Ideas

Writing down your thoughts and feelings can help you process emotions and clear your mind. Here are a few ideas to help get you started:

What are my core values, and how do I align them with my spiritual practice?

What does my ideal high-vibration day look like? How can I incorporate more of that energy into my daily life?

Describe how your environment affects your energy. What changes can I make to create a more high-vibrational sacred space?

How do I want to feel during my spellwork or rituals? What steps can I take to achieve that state?

List five activities that bring me joy and uplift my spirit. How can I make more time for them?

What are three things I’m grateful for today, and how do they make me feel?

Smiling To Trick Your Brain

Does it feel fake to smile when you’re unhappy? Remember, your brain can’t tell if the smile is genuine.

When you smile, you produce the hormones dopamine and serotonin. I think it helps to see myself smiling visually, so I stand in front of a mirror. Sit with yourself and smile for at least 5 minutes while focusing on how you feel.

What the Science Says About Smiling

…Dr. Isha Gupta a neurologist from IGEA Brain and Spine explains, a smile spurs a chemical reaction in the brain, releasing certain hormones including dopamine and serotonin.

“Dopamine increases our feelings of happiness. Serotonin release is associated with reduced stress. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression and aggression…Low levels of dopamine are also associated with depression.”

Spend Time with Animals

Animals naturally release positive energy and can help quickly lift your vibration.

Help Others

Practice kindness and generosity. Spend time with people who genuinely love you. This will quickly and naturally raise your vibration.

Affirmations

Positive affirmations can rewire your mindset and boost your vibration. Create affirmations that resonate with your goals, such as I attract positive energy. Here are a few more ideas:

  • Everything always works out for me
  • Every breath I take energizes and uplifts me
  • I can feel myself becoming more powerful
  • I am worthy of all the good things coming my way
  • Everything I need flows to me effortlessly

I also like to put on headphones and listen to a Guided Cord-Cutting Meditation or Affirmations that Help Me Step Into My Power. Breathwork is very important while doing this. Practice long, slow, deep breaths to calm your mind.

Self-Care (for real)

I know, I know. Self-care is always the go-to suggestion when raising your vibration. This advice can come off as superficial, and depending on your current mental state, it can feel overwhelming.

Sometimes, we get so bogged down in our daily routines, we forget how important self-care is for our physical, mental, and emotional health. You may also try a Self-Love Spell!

Taking care of yourself is crucial for maintaining a high vibration. This is not selfish! If YOU don’t take care of yourself, who will? Find one or two things you can do every day to take care of yourself and build from there. Here are a few ideas:

Take a Shower

Water rituals cleanse your body and spiritual energy. Turn it into a ritual, and imagine all the negative energy in your mind and body going down the drain. Add a shower pod for some aromatherapy!

Do Things That Make You Happy

Whatever that is! Sit with yourself quietly and FEEL what would bring you the most joy. Be honest with yourself!

Learn Something New

Stimulate your mind by reading, watching a documentary or TED Talk, or seeking advice from someone you respect.

Create Art

Creativity stimulates your imagination and raises your vibration. Express yourself in any way that resonates with you: Watercolor, Photography, Sewing, Crafting, Pottery, Gardening, Woodworking, Coloring, Etc.

Positive Mental Health

Consider therapy or mindfulness practices to maintain a healthy mindset.

Focus on Your Inner Voice! It all begins with your thoughts because they shape your reality!

Drink Water

Staying hydrated is essential for maintaining a healthy glow and energy flow. LOL, sorry, I couldn’t resist that rhyme.

Eat Healthy Food

Nourish your body with healthy, high-vibration foods to keep your energy aligned. Use your intuition to eat what feels best for your body.

Movement and Exercise For High Vibrations

Physical activity releases endorphins, helping to raise your vibrations. Choose whatever movement makes you most happy! Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Dance: Let loose and express yourself through dance.
  • Walk/Run: Get that cardio in and get your body moving!
  • Yoga: Practice yoga to balance your body and mind.
  • Swimming: Engage in the calming effects of water while exercising.
  • Strength Training: Build physical and mental strength through regular workouts.
  • Jump on a Trampoline: A fun way to shake off stress and elevate your energy.

How to Match Your Spell’s “Vibe” For Best Results

Getting into a high-vibration spiritual mindset is important before doing spells and ritual work. This process is different for everyone, and it should be! Your spiritual practice should work best for you!

This section will help you create a successful method to raise your vibration, even if you’re feeling like a moody, grumpy butthead! Lol, we’ve all been there

Why Emotional Vibrational Energy Matters in Spellwork

When doing spellwork, you want your vibrations and spiritual energy to match the energy of your spell or intention. This alignment helps make your magic stronger.

You’re attempting to tune into the correct frequency. You’re changing your energy to connect with the goals you want to achieve. Just like tuning a radio to the right station! 

Once you vibrate at this level, you can work powerful spells and make it easier for your intentions to manifest.

Clean and Clutter-Free Environment

This step can vary from witch to witch. Slowly and thoughtfully, clean your space in a way that feels pleasant to you. It’s meant to be enjoyable, not stressful or overwhelming. Clearing your space helps create a peaceful and focused mind.

Remember, your space reflects your energy, so a chaotic altar = chaotic magic. Clutter holds stagnant energy, which can jumble spell results. You don’t need to be a minimalist, but everything should have an intentional place. For example, don’t work a money candle spell on a table covered in unpaid bills.

Remember to take time to be grateful for the sacred space you’ve created. I like to play music and dance around! If possible, open a window and let in some fresh air!

Raising Vibration with Music

Cleansing

Cleansing helps remove any negative vibrational energy from you and the sacred space you’ll be doing spellwork in. Remember, a physically clean space isn’t always energetically cleansed. For example, there may be leftover emotions from people’s energy or past spellwork.

Cleanse yourself, the sacred space, and any tools you’ll use in your ritual. You can use sound, Moon Water, smoke, or any cleansing method of your choice! Additionally, some witches will do an egg cleanse before spell casting.

Centering and Spiritual Grounding

Spiritual grounding and centering are one of the first things new practitioners learn. It’s a basic practice, but one of the most important in witchcraft.

Centering yourself in witchcraft involves pulling YOUR spiritual energy inward to create a solid core of focus and power.

Spiritual grounding means connecting your personal energy with the EARTH’s energy. It allows a steady flow of energy between you and the natural world. Grounding differs from centering because you’re using the Earth’s energy, not your own personal energy.

Aligning Your Energy with Your Spell’s Intention

Your energy shapes your magic, so it’s important to check in with yourself before doing a ritual or casting a spell. How do you feel? Is your emotional state aligned with your spell, or is it working against it?

For example, if you feel nervous and stressed before doing a Love Spell Candle, it may not bring the intended outcome you’re hoping for. Please don’t feel like you need to force yourself to feel differently; that’s rarely a healthy mindset.

My favorite way to align my energy with my spell is through music. I always have headphones on when I do spellwork. If I’m casting a Protection Candle Spell, I listen to music that makes me feel strong. If I’m doing a Healing Spell, I listen to calm instrumentals, Nature sounds, or the song Weightless by Marconi Union (it’s scientifically proven to reduce stress if you listen to it for at least 8 minutes).

Here are a few more ways to align your magical energy with your spell’s intention.

Shift Your Focus

Try to embody the spell’s outcome before you begin. Imagine what it feels like after your magic succeeds. What emotions, colors, sensations, or feelings does it carry? How does your body react, what emotions surface, and how does your energy shift? Allow this energy to settle into your body. Breathe in those vibrations and become the magic.

Deity Invocation

If you work with any deities, try calling upon their spiritual energy to align with your own. Before the spell, make an offering and ask them to guide your energy into perfect alignment. Take time to slow down, and feel their presence and power merging with you.

Channel Your Power

Visualize your energy field changing to match the spell’s intention. For example, for a protection spell, imagine a strong, impenetrable force surrounding you like armor. I like to imagine the energy of black tourmaline protecting me. Another example could be abundance. Imagine your field of energy as a flowing and endless river of gold. Remember, this isn’t just visualization, you’ll FEEL the transformation connecting with your magic and body.
