June’s Strawberry Full Moon 2026: Magic, Chaos, and Romanticizing Life

Home » Witchcraft » June’s Strawberry Full Moon 2026: Magic, Chaos, and Romanticizing Life

The June Strawberry Full Moon of 2026 creates one of the dreamiest and emotionally charged parts of the year. There’s something about June that makes people want to stay out later, laugh louder, wander outside a bit more, and stop taking life so seriously.

June’s Full Moon carries themes of wonder, sensuality, curiosity, freedom, and momentum. It also arrives the same day Mercury retrograde begins, which means emotions may run a bit high.

The Strawberry moon wants movement, pleasure, connection, creativity, and joy. Romanticize your life a little, spend time outside, reconnect with your body, and stop treating happiness like a reward you must earn. The Universe is reminding us all to touch grass. Literally.

When is the Strawberry Moon 2026?

In 2026, June’s Full Moon is called the Strawberry Moon. It takes place on June 29th and peaks at 7:56 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The Full Moon phase corresponds to the season and time of year. Moon phases have names that come from many beliefs around the world, including Native American, Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, and more modern Neo-Pagan traditions. Each moon carries its own Moon Magic and spiritual energy.

The spiritual meaning of June’s Strawberry Moon centers around pleasure, abundance, freedom, confidence, and feeling emotionally alive again. Days are longer, and more time is spent outside. We shake off months of cold weather, heavy routines, and seasonal burnout. June’s full moon wants movement, laughter, connection, and experiences to remind you life is happening now, not someday.

The Strawberry Moon also arrives during strawberry harvesting season, which connects it to growth, sweetness, and enjoying what you have. Spiritually, it’s a good time to stop hiding, isolating, or overthinking every decision. Spend time with people you love. Wear the outfit. Go somewhere new. Stay outside a bit too late. The spiritual energy of the Strawberry moon feels warm, open, playful, and chaotic in the best way.

June Strawberry Moon Celebration Ideas

June’s Strawberry Moon is playful and emotional; it’s a great time for simple rituals and seasonal celebrations. The ritual ideas below focus on pleasure, freedom, connection, curiosity, and enjoying the strange little miracle of being alive during summer. If you’re looking for even more ideas, check out Full Moon Rituals You Need To Know!

Strawberry Moon Summer Simmer Pot Ritual

Fill a medium-sized pot with about 6 cups of water and place it on the stove over low heat. Add orange slices, strawberries, rosemary, lavender, mint, or basil. I like to add a bit of vanilla extract. A gentle simmer works best and keeps the scent softer and longer lasting. Use ingredients that make you feel pleasure, relaxed, or liberated.

As the pot simmers, open your windows, let the scent and spiritual energy move through your home. As stress and stale energy leave your space, your home feels lighter with the spiritual energy of the Strawberry Moon.

For an added bit of ambience, light a golden yellow or berry pink candle. Focus on the energy you want filling your home. When you’re done, let the simmer pot run while you clean, cook, rest, or spend time with people you love. Check the water every 20 to 30 minutes and add more water. When finished, strain everything out and compost it if possible.

Strawberry Moon Glamour Ritual

A Strawberry moon ritual is perfect for glamour magic because its energy encourages confidence, attraction, sensuality, and main character energy.

Take a shower or bath before the ritual and use scents, oils, perfumes, skincare, makeup, lotions, or jewelry that make you feel attractive and powerful. Choose colors connected to the Strawberry Moon like poppy red, sunset orange, berry pink, or gold. Wear something that makes you feel alive in your own body.

As you get ready, focus on the energy you want to radiate this summer. Magnetic? Warm? Confident? Creative? Desired? Unique? Say your intention out loud. Glamour magic is not about becoming someone else. It is about becoming fully visible as yourself.

This may feel a bit terrifying at first, but allow yourself to relax into it. Try imagining a few people you admire or aspire to be like. What would life be like if they had not allowed themselves to be seen?

Strawberry Moon Journal Prompts

Journaling your thoughts and intentions is a great way to celebrate the Strawberry Moon’s meaning. Here are some prompts to get you started:

Where in your life have you mistaken emotional numbness for maturity? What would happen if you chose wonder instead?

What are you devoted to right now besides survival, work, stress, or other people’s expectations?

When was the last time your body felt safe enough to experience pleasure without guilt, shame, or self-monitoring?

What experiences make you lose track of time in the best possible way, and why have you stopped prioritizing them?

If your spiritual practice became more sensual and embodied, what would need to change in your daily life?

If this Strawberry Moon marked the beginning of a more liberated version of you, what would that look like?

What emotions surface when you allow yourself to be fully visible, confident, desired, or admired?

Which desires have you been downplaying because they seem “too much,” unrealistic, dramatic, selfish, or inconvenient to others? How will you bring them to life?

Strawberry Moon Intention Jar Ritual

Find a small glass jar and fill it with items aligning with your summer intentions. Use ingredients of your choice like dried strawberries, lavender, rosemary, flower petals, honey, herbs, crystals, or tiny written wishes.

Choose some of the spiritual intentions above, or some of your choosing. Keep your intentions specific and emotionally honest.

Seal the jar with wax from a candle in one of the Strawberry Moon colors, like berry pink, golden yellow, orange, or color of your choice. Place it somewhere visible for the rest of the summer. Shake it occasionally to freshen its energy. It will bring you encouragement, motivation, or a reminder of what you are building.

Strawberry Moon Water Ritual For Love and Luck

This Candle Magic ritual helps you harness the positive energy of the Strawberry Moon. June’s Full Moon is known for its associations with love and luck.

In this ritual, you’ll combine the natural energy of fresh strawberries, moon water, and candle color meanings. This will create a powerful spell to help you align with June’s spiritual energy.

Gather Your Supplies

  • Fresh Strawberries (for love and luck**)
  • Green Chime Candle (green helps boost luck)
  • A small bowl of Moon Water collected from June’s full Strawberry moon
  • Fire-safe candle holder or dish (I use a 6.5″ cast iron)
  • Lighter or matches
  • Optional
    • Crystals
    • Herbs
    • Incense
    • Other items for added significance

Preparing for the Ritual

Begin by finding a quiet space where you can focus without distractions. Arrange your supplies in a way that feels meaningful to you, and cleanse the space in the method of your choice. Make sure it’s safe to burn a candle.

Grab the green chime candle or the candle type of your choice. If you need help deciding on a candle type, watch this video.

Anoint your green chime candle with the Moon Water you collected from June’s Full Moon. Watch my YouTube video, How to Cleanse and Dress a Spell Candle, for a complete tutorial.

Place your green chime candle in your fire-safe holder and light it. Imagine the candle flame as a symbol of the luck and love you wish to attract.

Infuse the Strawberries with Moon Water

Take a fresh strawberry and hold it gently in your hands. Dip your strawberry into the bowl of moon water to infuse it with the Strawberry Moon’s spiritual intentions of radiance, sensuality, and expansion.

Visualize the strawberry glowing with these spiritual energies. Slowly eat the strawberry and savor every bite. Allow the combined energy of the Moon Water and strawberry to fill you up with their spiritual intentions. Know that with every bite, love and luck manifest within you.

Closing the Ritual

Sit quietly in front of the candle, basking in its warm glow and energy. When the candle has melted down completely, express your gratitude for the beautiful experiences that await you. I prefer to return the remaining moon water and strawberry bits to the earth, but you can throw them away if you like.

Soak up the wonderful energies of the strawberry moon you’ve called upon. May your days ahead be full of wonder, radiance, and the enjoyment of your happiest days.

How Does Mercury Retrograde Affect the 2026 June Strawberry Moon?

This year, the Strawberry Moon arrives just as Mercury retrograde begins on June 29, 2026. Mercury retrograde begins when Mercury appears to move backward in the sky.

Summer is in full bloom, and while summer usually feels social and active, Mercury retrograde can make people mentally exhausted or overstimulated. Too much noise, too many plans, and too little rest can hit hard right now. Not a great time for impulsive decisions or rage texting your ex.

Mercury retrograde pulls old thoughts, memories, and unfinished business back into view. Now is an excellent time to simplify your schedule wherever possible. Spend time outside. Eat real food. Go to bed earlier than usual. The Strawberry Moon carries strong emotional energy, and Mercury retrograde just adds to the weight.

No, there are no Black Moons in 2026. The next Black Moon isn’t until August 2027.
